DUSTIN DENTON UNITED STATES ARMY ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Up before the sun rises and long after the moon is high He stands ready and waiting for who knows what, or where, or why But he does not question as he stands ready and strong He is trained and disciplined and will defeat the wrong. He is thirsty, hungry, and weary from heat He is a soldier, a warrior and accepts no defeat. He is strong, he is focused, and will surely prevail His job is dangerous and tiring, but he will not fail. He keeps pushing his body when rest is overdue He keeps moving and fighting for the honorable and true He does not call himself a hero or even brave He is a soldier and always humble even to the grave. We should all honor our soldiers, the brave and the true We should thank them, love, and comfort them for all they go through.
