Gracie's
Gripes, Griefs, and Gratitude
The holiday season is upon us and this is a time of year when many begin to feel
forlorn, sad, a little down.  I am fortunate and have loved ones around me this
holiday season, I am feeling well, and I have much to be grateful for.  I love the
power of words, expressions of the heart through words spoken, written, and
even put to music.  I wanted to share this song with those that are feeling sad
because perhaps of illness, the loss of a loved one, times are hard for you right
now, or just maybe feeling a little sad.  When I listen to this song it reminds me
that in this life, though we are all separate and very different individuals, we all
have pretty much the same things in common.  Take a few moments when you are
feeling sad and think to yourself, am I the only one that feels this way?  Though
you certainly feel overwhelmed and burdened, indeed surely someone somewhere
is feeling your much the same pain as you are, worrying much the same worries
you are.  When you stop and realize this, then you realize you are not alone, you
are not lost.  Do whatever positive act, thought, or deed it takes to shake yourself
out of that dark place because we would all like things to be better, but things
could certainly almost always get worse.  Tomorrow, you will most certainly not be
in the same place that you are today, so as time moves on, you too must move on
with it and move through it feeling as good as you can.  For there is not an endless
supply of tomorrows, you have certainly only this moment.  You owe it to yourself
to try to make it better.

I wish you happy holidays, peace, and love.  And remember, take a few quiet
moments for yourself.   You deserve it.
