As we grow older and have learning experiences throughout life, most
of us do learn that throughout life, first impressions, and even
appearances can be very deceiving.  I have learned that as an adult,
once again, on many levels here while living here in Dayton.  Our little
town is, I would say overall, a pretty  and safe little town.  Just who do
we credit the quiet and serene atmosphere to?  I don’t believe it is the
police.  I believe it is the overall character of the people that populate
Dayton.  I believe there are a lot of hard working, God-fearing,
community loving people here in Dayton, myself included despite what
the haters out there would like to have those of you that do not know
me to believe.

What I really wanted to talk about was “appearances”.  People tend to
really sum up an individual or even an object by its appearance.
However, I am a firm believer that to discover the real value or quality
of something or someone, you must look beyond the surface.
Sometimes it can take awhile to peel away the layers to get to the “real
beauty” or the “real ugliness” of a person.  For me, unfortunately, it has
not taken me long to discover the “ugly” side of Dayton.  And like in so
many other communities, the ugliness truly lies deep within the
individuals who can affect our community the most, the people in
positions of authority.

Dayton, in my opinion, has some truly “ugly” individuals running the most
vital areas of our city.  I am speaking  from personal experience and
opinion.  Yes, again, I speak of the Mayor of Dayton, the Chief of Police
of Dayton, and SOME of Dayton City Police Department’s officers.  Let
me clarify, I said SOME, NOT ALL.  There is a big difference in just
talking out of hatred and vengeance, or forming a sincere individual
opinion of someone based upon your own personal experiences with
these individuals.

You have read a lot of what has been going on with us and City Hall and
what I feel to be their thugs for hire.  Until we receive justice, I will
continue to write my opinions on MY WEBSITE, write letters to
officials, and make phone calls until I feel the matter has been handled
fairly and justly.  The fact that my husband has beaten an attorney in
this pro se lawsuit against a Dayton City Police Officer is truly
awesome.  Of course this guy’s attorney has appealed the judge’s
decision.  I mean, after all, none of the haters out there could stand it
if that “ole disgruntled constable” actually won one could they?  So to
those out there that think that those that are in control of Dayton City’
s budget, those that enforce the charter, even change the charter to
suit their own personal needs are great individuals, I say you must
simply be judging the person by the false impressions and appearances
that these individuals portray to the public and not their performance
on the job.

It really sickens me how these individuals in control of money, charters,
and law enforcement preach one thing and act another.  For example,
have you read the mission statement of the Dayton City Police
Department?  I have.  It states quote, “The goal of the Dayton City
Police Department to protect the rights of all persons within its
jurisdictional limits.  It is the department’s role to enforce the laws in a
fair and impartial manner, recognizing both the statutory and judicial
limitations of police authority and the constitutional rights of all
persons.”  Sounds good doesn’t it?  On the Dayton City Police
Department’s website there is also a logo that states “to serve and
protect, let none live in fear”.  Now, I really have to comment on these
two statements.  Their mission and their Logo!

Readers, my gut tugs at me on a daily basis because of these types of
things that LEAD US TO BELIEVE ONE THING but when it comes down
it, WE EXPERIENCE ANOTHER!.  We are deceived, mislead,
mistreated, misguided, but, these people are mistaken if they think that
those they do an injustice to will sit in their homes fearful and not say a
damn thing about their FALSE APPEARANCES and the shame they are
committing upon the uniform they wear and the oath they swear to
uphold.  Yes, of course I fear RETALIATION and have received
retaliation from some I speak of, but as long as I keep on talking, I am
not defenseless.
